Tips - baking muffins


Amacam? Ada nampak improvement sikit tak?!

Pakar muffins kata the perfect muffin has a thin brown crust, a slightly rounded top with a pebbled appearance, the inside should be moist.

Made this chocolate muffins lastweek, kali ni memang cuba prektiskan kaedah yang betul untuk buat muffin sebagaimana yang dah dipelajari melalui pembacaan kat beberapa web. Lepas ni I nak cuba guna muffin cups yang tinggi pulak, all this while I guna cupcake cups ja pun, so maybe hasilnya akan lebih cantik...

Few tips yang boleh dikongsi bersama untuk baking muffins:-

- turn on the oven before starting to mix ingredients to make sure the oven is preheated and at the right temperature when ready to bake
- when preparing the ingredients, first mix the wet ingredients(melted butter, oil, freshmilk, egg etc.) in 1 bowl and the dry ingredients(sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa, mixfruits etc.) in another
- make a well in the dry ingredients to hold the wet ingredients and mix everything together
- mix only to combine, the general rule is only 12strokes
- muffin batter should be lumpy(berketul2) and should not be fluid
- avoid over stirring when making muffins, do not stir or beat batter until it is smooth and lump free, our goal is just to moisten the ingredients
- fill the muffin batter in muffin cups more than 3/4 full to get the nice round tops
- bake as soon as it's mixed but if we have batter left over, cover the bowl and refrigerate while the first batch of muffins bake

The trick for keeping nuts and fruit pieces from sinking in the batter while baking are the same as for cakes, we have to dust nuts and fruit with flour before adding to batter or try toasting nuts first. We can also just sprinkle the nuts across the top of the batter.

Basically kebanyakan muffins memang tak memerlukan penggunaan mixer, so lagi senang dan cepat nak buat, kalau terdesak sangat kot2 lapaq tak hingat ka tiba2 ada tetamu mai tak habaq ka, haa dalam 30minit pun dah boleh siap. Dari segi bahan2 pun sangat simple dan kuantiti yang diperlukan untuk buat 1 adunan tu pun sikit saja. For those who likes to eat cakes, I'm sure you'll turn to love muffins as it's more healthy and delicious too...

salam agh,kalau ikutkan muffin nih mat salleh punya makanan dan cara yg agh tulis tu semua mengikut resepi dari diaorg.Mat2 salleh buat muffin pakai gaul ngan tangan dan tak pakai mixer.That's why bila ada soalan kenapa muffin yang dibuat ada tunnel kat dalam tuh,jawapannya sebab over mix...bila dah kita terlampau pukul kita punya adunan,jadi angin masuk dalam adunan,tu yang ada lubang2 dalam muffin kita.Kebanyakkan muffin yang orang kita buat guna mixer,jadi muffin tuh rasa macam ala2 kek.Kak long ada buku Muffin Galore,kalau angah nak kak long poskan nanti.Kak long jarang buat muffin jadi buku tuh tak pakai sangat.Lepas nih bolehla agh biz muffin :-)

sedapnyeeee!! pasni muffin choc pulak nk wat ;p yup2, btl la,kalo pkai mixer xnaik kan kak fith.gaul ngan tgn g2 je br naik.n yes, i tink pkai cup yg tgi jugak mmbantu :)

haa betul tu kaklong,org kita more to cakelike-muffin,lain sikit dr org putih yg more to breadlike muffin,agh baru ja tau,hahaha.selama ni agh buat style org melayu tp sejak bljr kaedah baru ni rasa lg senang n best.wah bestnya kaklong siap ada buku lg,kalau kaklong tak pakai,bleh laa agh pinjam,hehe.biz?insyaALlah,sapa tau kan?hohoho

kalau pakai tangan lg senang dan confirm tak over mixing kan,kalau dah pakai mixer tu mesti nak buat sampai adunan tu smooth.ok2,nanti kakfith try pakai acuan tinggi pulak,baru betul2 nama muffins kan,nanti faeeza leh share resepi muffins dgn kakfith jugak,hehe

tq fith for sharing d tips! tp tula kdg2 ada resepi tu batter dia agak thick lenguh nk kacau manual. tp xpe i like asalkan xyah basuh mixer hihi.

haa betul2,biasanya kalau pekat sgt sampai susah nak kacau fith pepandai2 buh susu sikit,hahaha.
part tak pakai mixer tu yg syok kan,malaih nak keluarkn n basuh then simpan,haha sama je kita
